Emerson writes to Conway "Notice has been given in the Church that you will address the people in the Town Hall next Friday evening at 7.30 p.m. and we shall follow this up by printed placards on the day before. My wife depends on the pleasure & privilege of making you at home whilst you are in town, so do not fail us as you will not."
